Skin tags are often found in places where our skin chaffs, eg underarms, top of thighs, necks (from clothing) under breasts is very common.
Facial skin tags and moles are quick and easy to remove and generally do not leave scars as they are not cut out and require no stitching.
We have two methods of removing skin tags here at Guernsey Medispa.
- Plasma pen, which is so precise that we can take skin tags even from between eyelashes without causing any trauma to the surrounding areas.
- Short Wave diathermy which runs a micro current through the tag cauterising it so we can just take it off.
Both these methods involve no cutting or bruising to the area, just a small scab where the skin lesion used to be. This heals up within 7 to 10 days.
Mole removal will only be done if there is a covering letter from your doctor stating that it is safe to remove.
